There’s a saying in Chinese. 上有天堂, 下有苏杭 (shang you tian tang, xia you su hang) which translates to “In the sky, there is Heaven. On earth, there are Suzhou and Hangzhou.” Revered throughout time for being places of tranquility, this essence is still preserved today in the mist of industrial development and bustling city life. Beautiful in their own way, both are synonymous to Heaven on Earth.
Suzhou – Zhuozheng Yuan (Humble Administrator’s Garden)
Hangzhou – Xihu (West Lake)
