Its 6am here and we’re getting ready for day 2 of our Hanoi adventures.
Our flight was pretty long, 17 hours total, and we seemed to be one of the only ones who did not get a whole row of seats to ourselves :X.
But Korean Air is one of the most comfortable airlines I’ve ever been on and their in flight meals are superb. (except for peas, peas are gross)
Once we landed at Noi Bai Airport we took a taxi to our hotel and knocked out. We’re staying at Golden Sun Moment Hotel which is located in the Old Quarters. The room is a bit smaller than I had imagined but it’s not too shabby for $40 a night. Not to mention, they have a pretty legit complimentary breakfast menu.
We spent yesterday just walking around Old Quarters, eating, shopping, and relaxing with some Vietnamese coffee. We saw a miniture corgi, street side shaving service, free-range chicken roaming the streets, and lots and lots of traffic. Where are everyone going all day long???
Today, we’re going to the Fine Art Museum and I want to find a place to get a manicure. I also bought some clothes yesterday so I’ll be dressing up like a local here! 😛
